I had so little time to prepare for my Hostess event on Sunday as I’ve only just got back from our US Oddysey and am still suffering terribly from jet lag so was working virtually right through the night on Friday and Saturday to get it done. These are the card samples I made up for using the Circle Circus set. At the event, my ladies got to make a little box and little gift cards to go in it which I will cover in another post.
You’ll have to pardon the smudge on this one, it was 3.30 am in the morning at the time on the eve of my Hostess event and I was just too weary to have to do it all over again. I went out of my comfort zone and used Tempting Turquoise and Pink Passion for this one, not forgetting good old Whisper White. I picked out 3 stamps to use with this card and pricked patterns with the pricking mat, layered as illustrated and attached Tempting Turquoise ribbon underneath all the layers to finish.
I chose Cameo Coral for this card, selecting a variety of circle patterns for the background, stamping the rest on Whisper White then punching out with a selection of SU circle punches that matched and adhered with dimensionals to a piece Cameo Coral mat which was distressed all round and finished off with Whisper White taffeta ribbon.
Stamped in Close to Cocoa using a variety of circle stamps randomly to create a patterned paper effect on one half of card, layered with a strip of Close to Cocoa, tied knot in centre of strip with Very Vanilla grosgrain, punched circle scallop in Chocolate Chip, pricked holes all round edge and attached sentiment with dimensional.
For this one, I stamped floral circle image in Orchid Opulence on Whisper White, punched out with SU 1 3/4″ circle punch, a strip of Orchid Opulence for the tab – you’ll be able to do this easy peasy now we’ve got the word window punch in our new catty – and attached square rhinestone brads and some ribbon for the handles. Stamped sentiment from Happy Everything set.
This last sample is a 4″ square card using Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White card stock layered and one of the circles stamped with Basic Black. Used Tempting Turquoise brads from Bold Brights to highlight it. Simple, quick and effective.
Gorgeous collection of cards again Elaine!
