Greenhouse Garden, Vintage Labels

The Greenhouse Garden set hasn’t been featured much on my blog – and with this set earmarked by Stampin’ Up! as the one for the Haitian Disaster Relief Fund I thought I would showcase how lovely this set really is. From now until 28 February 2010, Stampin’ Up! will set aside £1 from the sale of every Greenhouse Garden set and donate it to the Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund.

Greenhouse Garden contains 10 stamps and retails at £22.95. It uses the two-step stamping method, 4 flowers, 4 flower centres and two stems.

There has been a glut of cards using various Sale-a-bration sets, and I thought it would be nice to do something 3D instead. I love how you can take a stark white sheet of card stock and completely transform it beyond recognition! So from that humble piece of Whisper White card stock – here is a pillow box for putting sweeties in, or whatever takes your fancy!

I cut out the pillow box from a template, stamped various floral images using the two step stamping method – (stamp flower first, then stamp again over the flower with the corresponding flower centre) I eyeballed these, but had to use the stamp-a-majig to place the wording inside the Vintage Label frame. The label was cut out and inked round the edges with Perfect Plum.

The belly band is just a strip of 1″ Perfect Plum scrap wrapped round pillow box and the Vintage Label was adhered on top to hide the join. I stamped the smallest flower then cut it out, added Crystal Effects in the centre then sprinkled Fine Cosmo Glitter over it for a bit of bling and adhered it to the bottom right of the label with a dimensional. I tied Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon round the box and slipped the belly band over it to finish. Voila! There you have it, a lovely container for sweeties or whatever takes your fancy.
