I needed to make a couple of generic quite masculine cards and this is what I came up with.
I dry embossed the Kraft card stock in a herringbone pattern, used the eyelet border punch on the short bottom edge of Kraft and Very Vanilla card stock, adhered both layers on to the Really Rust base. The tree was stamped in Chocolate Chip, and using the aqua painter, added colour to the tree image before distressing edges with the cutter tool, inked edges in Really Rust, took a quadrant bite in each corner with the 1/2″ circle punch and adhered to other layers with dimensionals. The brads were added before adhering to Kraft layer. Two slivers of Really Rust was adhered to bottom left corner and the sentiment “for you” from Vintage Labels was added last. I punched a hole underneath the “for you” to tie a stay put knot with Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon to finish.
