In response to Stampin’ Up!’s March promotion, I show cased the Simply Said stamp set during a lovely club workshop I was invited to today. I demonstrated the kissing technique using the solid heart shape to ink up in a light shade of ink (Cameo Coral), inked another stamp with a patterned heart image in a darker shade (Rose Red) and “kissed” the solid heart stamp before stamping the solid heart onto the card stock as in picture above. My apologies for the skewiff photo, it was rather late in the day to be taking piccies and updating my blog!
The background was stamped with the Bella Toile background stamp in Pretty in Pink and I punched an aperture with the full heart punch so the Rose Red card base would show through and appear as a “mat” for the kissed heart image which was adhered to card front with a dimensional.
This is the inside of the card, as Mother’s Day is next Sunday, it was fitting to add a “mother’s day” sentiment. I also demonstrated the two-step stamping method, inked round the edges in Rose Red with a sponge dauber and took a quadrant off each corner with the 1/2″ circle punch.
