I had a lovely workshop last night where my Hostess wanted a masculine theme. I dug out “A Touch of Nature”, a set that must still be in demand and therefore a classic as it’s stood the test of time and I only recently acquired it and have not yet found the time to have a proper play until now. The next few posts will probably feature more masculine cards which I made as samples. Here’s the first. I stamped the bird image with Black Stazon on Very Vanilla cardstock and used the watercolour crayons to colour the image which I then cut out. I used versamark to stamp a background with the Solid Stripe stamp from the new mini on Close to Cocoa cardstock and matted this on Chocolate Chip and adhered the bird image on top. I punched two 1/2″ circles and “moulded” them into buttons which I secured with dimensionals to embellish the front of the Z-fold card. A peek at the inside of the card – I adhered some Very Vanilla cardstock on the inside panels and tucked it behind the bird panel. The sentiment was stamped in chocolate chip on Close to Cocoa card stock and adhered on top of the Very Vanilla card stock. The exposed bit of the card was stamped with the fern image.
