Tulips – from the pure simple white…. to the frilly tri-colours… …the vibrant red and yellows…. the oranges…. purples…………… and of course, last, but by no means least, the black ones. We’ve never really been avid gardeners but when we had the drive done a few years back, my Father-in-Law was visiting(sadly he’s now no longer with us). We settled him comfortably in a garden chair with a table by his side in the driveway, with a newspaper to read and a cup of tea while he oversaw DH planting up the new beds in our new drive. So it has a special significance and our front “garden” has now become Dad’s Memorial garden and DH takes much pride in seeing things grow and establish itself out here. For the first time, he put some bulbs in, and I wanted to capture its first flowering this year. It never ceases to amaze me how nature can produce such beauty.
