Time to share one of the many cards I made during the “wilderness” period of no new posts way back in September! This is one of the new stamp sets in the new catty called Artistic Etchings. The base card is Cherry Cobbler, one of the new colours in the Regals Collection and definitely one of my favourites. I love the vintage look, and to achieve this, I scrunched up some Very Vanilla card stock and sponged Cherry Cobbler Ink lightly over it and also inked the edges and tore the cardstock slightly on the right edge. With a needle and thread, I tacked down the centre of 5/8″ Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon and gathered it to make this ruched ribbon effect and attached it to the top. I used the stamping off technique to lighten the intensity of the colour on the circle stamp image. The Eiffel Tower was stamped on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out and layered to the left of the card with dimensionals. “Amour” was stamped alongside the Eiffel Tower with the aid of a stampamajig. The sentiment is from Occasional Quotes which is a Level 3 Hostess stamp set. Thanks for stopping by.
