Hopeful Thoughts

Yesterday was a difficult day – expressions of sympathy in whatever guise are always difficult and so inadequate at the time when you see people you love hurting and grief stricken by their loss. My elderly cousin’s husband was laid to rest yesterday – he gave the “father of the bride” speech at my wedding as they had no children of their own my Dad graciously stepped aside and let “Uncle” Robert speak on his behalf as my wedding reception was being held at a Members Only Club in Hong Kong to which “Uncle” Robert and my cousin belonged.
