Gemeentegrot – Municipal Caves

After visiting the Velvet Caves we visited Gemmentegrot. These caves were more cavernous – we came across these climbing Santas which were activated by sound. If you clap your hands loudly, the santas start to climb up! Once they reach the top, they climb down again. More pictures of scenes and market stalls. To finish with, here are some pointsettias which had fibreoptic lights in them – picture doesn’t show it too well. Hope you enjoyed the “tour”. I’d love to go back at another time of year to view the caves properly. If you are considering going abroad to visit the Christmas markets, I’d definitely put this one at the top of the list!
