Bonnet re-visited

I’ve taken a better photo of the bonnet I made for my Easter display. The one I made is really for decoration only. However, if you want to make one that is functional, you can re-cycle empty SU brad or button containers – doesn’t matter which as long as they are circular containers with a lid. I cut my scallop circle for this bonnet with the Sizzix Bigz Circle Scallop #2 die. To use the empty brad/button containers you’ll need to cut your hat brim with the Bigz Scallop Circle die. Apply sticky strip to the base of the container, centre container on your scallop circle and adhere. For the lid, trace the shape on DSP, cut out and adhere to top of lid. Measure height of bottom of container, not full height, only up to where the rim of the lid sits, cut a strip of DSP long enough to wrap round container and adhere. You can then decorate it as you wish, put some sweets, or even buttons or brads beautifully gift packaged as a bonnet. This is what the bonnet looks like underneath.
