Build a Blossom

This is the Build a Blossom set available in clear mount @ £19.95 (pictured above) or in wood mount @ £24.95. It also has a co-ordinating punch sold separately @ £15.50. There’s nothing like new stamp sets to get those creative juices flowing. I always like to challenge myself and think of other images other than the obvious so here is another use for those petals! I drew freehand the swan and coloured a basic pearl in black for the eye. To do this, I first applied frost white shimmer paint on the pearl, then squeezed a drop of stazon black refill ink directly on to it and dried with a heat tool to speed up the drying process. I stamped and punched the petals on to card stock vellum using various shades of ink and punched out with the Blossoms Petal punch (also new in the Mini – a tutorial to follow on how to use it) and used this to “feather” my swan. The bulrushes were drawn freehand too,(looking to the Every Moment stamp set for inspiration) and then watercoloured afterwards. I also added a touch of Frost White shimmer paint on the water surface to give the water a shimmery glow. Stamps: Build a Blossom, Every Moment Ink : Whisper White craft ink,Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Garden Green, Sahara Sand, Basic Gray Paper: Cajun Craze, Marina Mist, water colour paper Accessories Blossom Petal punch, eyelet border punch, Very Vanilla 1/8″ taffeta ribbon, Frost White shimmer paint, Black stazon re-inker,crysal effects (for adhering vellum) Click on “Tutorials” in the navigation bar where I’ve done a quick tip on how to punch out multiple images on the new Blossom Petal punch. Do leave a comment, I would love some feedback and thank you for stopping by.
