The theme for my most recent workshop was to do masculine cards.  This meant I had to do a whole new series of samples to fit the brief.  The one above was created for the launch of the Mini several months ago and I used crystal effects to add a 3D effect to the motorbike and sprinkled glass glitter underneath the wheels to resemble gravel.  Over the next few posts I will be featuring masculine cards.

I created an additional 3 samples using this single stamp.  You will notice that I have omitted the use of ribbon, kept the layers to a minimum and used much deeper colours.

To the left, an almost monotone card with the use of Basic Black card stock, Basic Gray DSP from the Neutrals paper stack, stamped directly on to DSP and added two silver brads to the bottom right to complete the card.

Top right – Cherry Blossom and More Mustard, twill tape (more rugged looking) and, Newsprint DSP, and for the sentiment – Afterthoughts Level 1 hostess set.

Bottom right –  Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze, I used the crimper to crimp a strip of 2″x 5.75″ Cajun Craze, punched 3 x 1 3/8″ squares in the same colour for the mats of the 3 random stamped parts of the motorbike punched out with the 1 1/4″ square punch.  The stamped detail on the top in Night of Navy came from the Plane & Simple set and the “happy birthday” sentiment along the bottom in Whisper White craft ink is from Big Bold Birthday set.
