I love the bird cage in the Nature Walk stamp set, but the bird seemed disproportionate to the size of the cage.
Things closer to you appear larger, so I stamped the bird on a scrap piece of Whisper White, matted it on to Early Espresso and cut around the contour then applied crystal effects to the image, a faux pearl coloured with the Early Espresso marker for the eye of the bird, raised it on dimensionals and adhered it in front of the bird cage. Before adhering the bird, I stamped the bird cage in the top left of the background, and the cage being smaller gives the illusion of perspective.
The Cherry Cobbler tag is another style of tag from the Lots of Tags sizzlets (set of 4) dies, note to self – I ought to use them more as they are so pretty. I’ve layered it with the word window punch and used eyelets to give it a more “masculine” feel. Colour combo for this card is Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.
