One of my customers celebrates her Ruby Anniversary today and being the valued customer that she is, I made this to mark her special occasion. Cherry Cobbler was the closest I could use to Ruby Red, so I used this for my card base. I cut a piece of 3 13/16″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White cardstock – these measurements have to be precise – in order to punch a rectangle with the Scallop Trim Corner and Scallop Trim edge punch. The background was stamped with Sanded in Crumb Cake ink.
I die cut a heart in Cherry Cobbler with the Scalloped Heart to Hearts embosslits die, and adhered it to the left of the card front. With the Early Espresso marker pen, I inked only a pair of the birds from Clearly for You to symbolise the happy couple and stamped on Whisper White card stock then cut out and adhered with dimensionals towards the bottom half of the heart.
For the sentiment, I inked the “anniversary” part of Happy Anniversary from Something to Celebrate Hostess Level 2 set, punched out with the word window punch and adhered with dimensionals on a modern label in Cherry Cobbler which was adhered straight onto the card front. I then added faux pearls to add that touch of class.
I made a double bow with Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon and tweaked the tails, securing them at various points with glue dots for that cascade effect. The Cherry Cobbler numbers are the medium sizzlets from Timeless Junior Alphabet in the mini and the little hearts from Little Additions.
Unfortunately Stampin’ Up! do not carry special anniversary stamps so I had to improvise and used my computer to generate this greeting printed on copy paper which I then punched with the Scallop Trim Corner punch so that it woud tie in with the rest of the card. I just stamped the little hearts again to link it with the card front.
I hope she and her husband like it.
Just STUNNING Elaine – your lovely customer must have been delighted. That bows is amazing – so sculptural. A workshop WOW if ever I saw one! X
