Life happens and inevitably you need to make sympathy cards. I made this for a fellow team mate who had a bereavement recently. This one “Thanks for Caring” is from the Mini catalog on page 25.
Even though it is a stamp set specifically designed for these sad occasions, Stampin’ Up! images for this set are also suitable for using on other cards by just omitting using the sympathy sentiment. That’s why I love Stampin’ Up! Their stamp sets are value for money and with a bit of imagination, you can use it for anything. I added a little detail with the piercing tool to balance out the card.
This is the inside of the card. The colour combo is Sahara Sand, Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White. Two pieces of Whisper White cardstock cut 1/4″ smaller than card base and opposite corners punched with Scallop Trim Corner punch and edges inked in Elegant Eggplant.
I’ve deferred posting this until I was sure the recipient had received it and am hoping this card brought a little comfort to her and her family during this sad time.
