This card was specially made for first time parents, Helen & Alisdair, to congratulate them on the safe arrival of their beautiful baby girl. I used one of my favourite textured plates to create the background and spritzed all over with vanilla shimmer mist, drew a line to “hang” the pennants on and stamped various images from the Little Additions stamp set to create the pennants. I added a scalloped ribbon punch (from my personal collection) with a piece of Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon adhered down the centre to dress it.
The shimmer mist looks much better IRL, but you can just about see the shimmer in this photo on the left. I stamped off once in Pink Pirouette the initials of the proud parents, then stamped the sentiment from Bundle of Love in Crumb Cake on top.
This is the inside of the card. I stamped the framed images from Little Additions in Pink Pirouette first, then on scrap pieces of Whisper White, I stamped one in Crumb Cake, and another in Rose Red. The frames in Crumb cake and Rose Red were cut out. I adhered the Crumb Cake frame on top of the Pink Pirouette layer, and raised the “So Cute” one on dimensionals.
For the detail on the bottom of the card, I lined up the images from Bundle of Love rubber side down, then placed the clear block over the images and pressed firmly to attach it to the block, inked in Crumb Cake and stamped.
I hope they like it!
