There’s always a buzz around Convention time. Sadly I don’t feel as prepared as I ought to be this time round. I did manage to squeeze in making some swaps, but not as many as in previous years.
I started with a box of the new DSP printed brads in the new In Colors and wondered how I could incorporate the brads into my swap. Having discovered that Hershey nuggets are now available at the local supermarket I couldn’t resist making these Hershey nugget purses – and who doesn’t like a bit of chocolate every now and again? It makes a change from swapping card fronts!
I cut strips of In Color card stock, scored it first then ran it through Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. I wrapped the nuggets with a stamped image from It’s a Wrap Occasions then adhered this to the base of the purse so it wouldn’t slip out. Next I threaded the ruffled ribbon through punched holes on the lid for the handles. To finish, I punched a Boho Blossom flower for each purse and attached DSP printed brads in the colour combo as pictured to complete the purses.
