It’s time to put Sale-a-bration to bed this year! My how the time has flown. On reflection, my favourite was definitely Fresh Vintage which took pride of place in the Sale-a-bration flyer (the very first stamp set in the flyer) – Stampin’ Up! were right to put it there as it flew off the shelf and my customers’ first choice!
The set Sprinkled Expressions was a slow burn for me – I couldn’t think what to do with it. These are the results of my efforts. The one pictured above got the bling treatment and that lovely velvet ribbon and a double row of pearls above and below the ribbon line for a touch of class.
This one had the Embossing Folder treatment and lots of layering. I cut the smaller star by hand – in case you’re wondering, as SU retired the smaller star punch. I drew intersecting lines in pencil and cut across them and then erased the marks. The trio of stars in Calypso Coral were stamped first before dry embossing with the square lattice embossing folder and I curled and tucked strips of cardstock underneath the featured star which was attached with dimensionals.
One final card – I shall be so sad to see these papers go. There have been requests to have the Everyday Enchantment papers for sale in the main catalogue! This was one of the cards I demonstrated at a workshop last Thursday – touching on the builder wheel and the different ways you can use it. I used it just as a single pennant here. You can either use your choice combination of reinkers on the triple cell cartridge and use the spacers to position the single builder wheel of your choice to whichever of the three colours you want in the cartridge, or use a classic ink pad to ink up your wheel. It also featured the postage stamp punch – how easy it is to jazz up your card with punched pieces of DSP, stamp a sentiment, add an embellishment and you’re done. The perfume atomizer is from Every Little Bit stamp set the sentiment from Delightful Dozen.
