Top Note re-sized!

It intrigued me to see if I could make the Top Note work the same way as the flurry of samples using Stampin’ Up!’s  new thin dies across the pond.  They haven’t reached our market yet, but here’s hoping.  Through trial and error I finally came up with this.

The card base folded in half, and the front flap in half again.  By placing your cutting plate just shy of this  front flap score line, it only cuts that portion, leaving the rest of the card stock in tact.  I took a scrap piece of Whisper White, folded it in half the same width as the flap on the card and ran it through the Big Shot and here’s the result.  Only draw back is that you can see the fold line if you look closely enough.

I embossed with the new coloured Wild Wasabi embossing powder, stamped the sentiment from SABs Elementary Elegance  and punched out with the curly label punch.  This stamp set is free with every £45 spend (excluding shipping) or multiples thereof.  If you spend £90 then you get 2 stamp sets and so on.  You also have a choice of a pack of 12 x 12 scrummy Designer Papers if you don’t wish to have the stamp set.   There’s still time to grab yourself a bargain, so hurry before the offer ends on March 31st.  Please contact me at elaine.harding@googlemail.com if you’d like to host a workshop or make a purchase.  We all love getting freebies!

The inside sentiment on the card is from Cottage Garden and the cardstock used is Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink.

Before I sign off, I just wanted to share this – not craft related, but it was good fun!

If you’re residing in UK and with the Orange network, you’ll know about Orange Wednesdays – going to the movies on a Wednesday you get 2 tickets for the price of 1.   We took advantage of this last Wednesday and got tickets  for us to see “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”.  It had such a  fantastic cast.   Dame Judi Dench, Celia Imrie pictured above.   It was such a hoot, Dame Maggie Smith had the best lines – if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s a nice way to spend a couple of hours transported to India and its culture!.. and I’m sure many of you will identify with your own experience of call centres!

Happy Sunday, enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for visiting.
