Happy Easter everyone! Hope you’re all having a lovely easter break. I managed to make this Easter vignette to upload on the blog on Good Friday before my son and his family came to visit and to schedule it for posting today.
Here’s a close up. I resized the square scallop so that there would be a wider border all round the 5″ square cardbase in So Saffron. I cut the normal square scallop and just moved it two scallops past the
cutting edge, rotated the cardstock by a quarter turn and re-inserted it into the die and did the same.
First I stamped the hot air balloon image onto the card base as well as the mushrooms. Then I stamped the images on the imaging sheet of the stamp-a-majig, temporarily adhered the square scallop centred on the cardbase, and using the stamp-a-majig, re-aligned the images so that part of the images were stamped on the square scallop. I then dry embossed the square scallop with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The rest was just colouring with markers, crayons and a blender pen.
For the basket, I cut a 6″ square piece of cardstock and scored it at 1/2″ intervals, ran a Crumb Cake classic ink pad across at 45 degree angle to create that “woody” effect so that it resembled a trug type basket. I didn’t bother lining the basket with shredded tissue, it’s big enough to fit a whole packet of easter eggs from M&S.
Easter blessings with lots of love and chocolate!!
Happy Easter Elaine, gorgeous creations, as usual.
