Having only grandsons, I’m always looking for boyish stamps as flowery ones would get a resounding “yuck” from them! For my Sunday share, here’s a card I made my grandson who’s celebrating his 5th birthday today. May has been a particularly busy month for birthdays. The stamp set I used for this card is one from my personal stash and fitted the bill. The birthday greeting is from Happiest Birthday Wishes – a Hostess set.
This is the inside of the card. It is a little unusual to cover both the top and bottom panels, but I needed extra space for the balloons. The Up, Up & Away stamp set (from our new summer mini) were stamped as party balloons rather than a hot air one – works a treat and the name was stamped with Perfect Alphabet which I think has retired.
I tend to hang on to all my alphabet sets – they come in useful for scrapbooking because I like different fonts for my layouts. Come to think of it, I’ve hung on to too many stamps in general and ought to have a clear out soon, so a mammoth Stampfest Sale will be coming soon. Watch this space!
Both FABULOUS cards for a little boy Elaine. I especially like the trucks full of gifts! X
