I am so proud of this. It’s been an age since I made one of my mini books – all altered from plain white gusseted lunch bags! These books were my signature creations before I became a SU demonstrator. I still get orders for bespoke albums occasionally, and this one is my latest creation – an album for a first grandson.
My client’s original brief was nude colours – but she left it to me for the rest. The cover is in Crumb Cake run through the Chevron EF. The book binding and label background are the new Natural Composition Specialty DSPs. They have a clear embossed image on the 12″x 12″ sheets and are much heavier weight, so great for making boxes too.
For the most part, I used Crumb Cake and Whisper White for the pages but I injected some colour with Pool Party and Riding Hood Red to co-ordinate with the Storytime DSPs used for the pockets. There was some stamping of course – Bundle of Love, Storybook Friends, Patterned Party, Create a Cupcake and Petite Pairs stamp sets.
I used a variety of mini punches for the card inserts – Little Labels punch pack and Itty Bitty shapes punch pack.
My client was thrilled with it!
