MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

YoHoHo!   It’s December 25th at last!   Hehe – first here’s wishing a Merry Christmas to one and all!Did you think I would leave you with only the picture above?  ….. It’s CHRISTMAS!!! so there’s more!  Read on, if you have time.

Here’s the bigger picture!  At Convention, Stampin’ Up! had this metal work card tree for sale.  It was too big to fit into my lighting studio, so I didn’t put the left branch up.  I was saving displaying this tree for a special occasion, and I think Christmas fits into that category!    I stamped the Jolly Bingo Bits on several 1 1/2″ square cards and used those as “decorations” for the tree.  The little wooden ornaments coordinate with the figures in the No Peeking stamp set, and as it’s christmas day today, they’ve come to say “hello”, and I’ve left out  a home-baked mince pie dusted with icing sugar as well!

Gift giving at christmas is so much fun.  You’re probably wondering why I have opened the tin can from the opposite end of the pop top.  It is such a novel way of giving gifts.  I used a can opener to take out the base, leaving the pop top in tact.

I inserted my present inside, then used a hot glue gun to re-attach the base and seal it to the tin.  (A box of trinkets fits snugly into the tin. )  I punched out a 1 3/4″ circle and cut out a piece so  that it would fit snugly under the pop top.

You can decorate the tins in pretty DSP – I used the Snow Festival DSP for these and added a scallop edge border on the one the penguin is standing on.  Easy Peesy! Only downside is that you have to eat alot of Baked Beans to get the cans!

Well, that’s all for today folks – enjoy the holidays and I’ll be back shortly in the New Year!
