Spring/Summer launch and Sale-a-bration Event

Here is a pic of my display for my event last Saturday.  So pleased with the result.  I acquired this wrought iron bookshelf which packs flat some time ago and have been itching to use it!  Finally got my chance!

Poor hubs got a bit of a shock when he came down Saturday morning and saw this monstrosity!  “Blimey”, he said – “it’s enormous!”  –  I think the added tiers gave him a bit of a shock!  I expected him to “ooo” and “ahh”  – no such luck – men just don’t get it do they?

All I can say is that my visitors liked it and I had fun doing it up!  Hope you like it too.

Long story short, here’s the card for the Make & Take – using the  new Honeycomb embossing folder on Pool Party Core-dinations card stock  and the Hearts a Flutter framelits.  I up-ended the label to make a bird cage instead of a tag.  The darling lovebirds are from “Flock Together” in the Annual catalogue (page 90).  I hand drew the branch in Early Espresso and used Island Indigo and Sahara Sand ink.”No matter what” is from Petite Pairs stamp set with it’s matching sentiment pair stamped on the inside”I’m here for you”.

This is the inside of the card.  To ensure accurate placement of the cage over the birds, I used a stamp-a-majig and finished off by piercing holes from the bird cage to the top edge of the  card to give the illusion that it had been suspended from the ceiling and then joined the dots together with a Sahara Sand marker.
