It was our wedding anniversary recently, and my hubby is a no frills kind of guy, so ribbon and bows were definitely out! I’ve been making pop up cards with a footy theme using the Blue Ribbon set and wondered if it would work for the heart. I cut a strip of Basic Gray 4 1/4″ x 11 3/4″ and scored at 4 1/4″ landscape, folded it then marked where the next fold would be (texture embossed), turned my heart upside down and partially cut out the top of the heart. When you open the card, the heart swivels out as illustrated in photo.
You can see it better from the side. I also added an extra piece of coordinating card stock and scored it at 1 1/2″ across and only applied glue to the upper section of the score line to create the integral stand at the back.
Inside the card, I used Riding Hood Red to mat with. The wording was white embossed and I also used the adorning accents die to create a pretty edging for the card. .
Here’s the recipe – it’s a rather long list!
