Do you find making masculine cards difficult to make? Getting stuck for ideas? Hot on the heels of honouring Dads on Father’s Day, here is a masculine card which started as a Father’s Day card, but then my mojo went on holiday! So I’m re-visiting it here to see if I can salvage it.
With the exception of the Midnight Muse card stock and ribbon, all the rest of the items are retiring! The Designer Series Paper (DSP) called Comfort Cafe will be going but the satin stitched ribbon is staying. It took me several attempts to tie the “tie”, and the reverse side of the DSP was ideal for making a handkerchief to tuck into the pocket!
These are the stamp sets which are retiring – both Dapper Dad from the Spring/Summer Catalogue (images on the left) and Best Dad Ever (with the tie and featuring the wording) is being retired from the Annual Catalogue. I only stamped one tie in this card, but in the previous post, all the ties were featured. For the inside of the card, I dusted the left side with embossing buddy, inked images with versamark and sprinkled with White embossing powder heated it with a heat tool to make it pop. The opposite side was just a plain bit of stamping.
