Dress Up Framelits. I love a challenge, and being Monday, it’s always a slow wake-up call from the weekend. Yesterday, I went to a small local craft show and saw a very clever and talented designer who was introducing her new range of circular fold cards.
I honestly thought this would be a quick copycat design, but it is so far from her original that it beggars belief! In the end, after a lot of wasted card stock, I just did it my way!
Side view
Finding the centre and trying to score from a circle is pants! Hence wasted card stock! By the time I’d gone through 12 sheets it was time to change tack! Light bulb moment! What did I do? I wanted the finished circle to be 5 3/4″, so I cut a square measuring 5 3/4″, did all my cutting and scoring then used temporary adhesive to secure it onto the glass cutting mat, lined up the circle cutter with the grid lines on the glass cutting mat and voila I cut a perfect circle with perfectly scored lines and the cut in the middle all ready to go!
View from other side
Here’s a view from the other side where the sentiment labels are more visible.
Next step was simply folding and putting the embellishments on! Learn from my mistakes, peeps, I’ve wasted half a day on this just to find that out! Doh! Hope you like the end result!
