Short and sweet today – this stamp set has proved so useful – I go back to it time and again. Tsk, tsk – I’ve used some retired product! I’ve got yards of the flower trim left and it needs using up! I normally wouldn’t put retired product on a card I’m blogging about – but this card is for my sister and brother-in-law’s 35th wedding anniversary and I don’t think they would mind whether it’s retired or not!
As you can see there aren’t any fancy images in the set, but I just love the script and the numerals in them. You can gold or silver emboss to give it a classier look and combine this set with other elements or images, but I just chose to keep mine clean and simple.
What is 35 years represented as? I googled it and was informed that of yore, coral was given, but in the modern age, jade is the more recognised gemstone to earmark this milestone. So I combined the two! It was just an excuse to add a splash of colour to the plain white background!
I hope they like it.
