Hi everyone! Woohoo – it’s the weekend! What are your plans today? I’m so excited to be going to Locks Heath where my upline Amanda is holding a Fun Day for her direct recruits, but before I go, here is one of the cards I designed for our Monthly Team meeting earlier in the week.
Featured is the Sale-a-bration stamp set, See ya Later, the Fringe Scissors, the scallop TIEF, and the Word Bubble Framelits.
My card base was in So Saffron and Mr Alligator was punched out with the Petite Pennant builder punch. The punched pieces were both put through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots TIEF another SAB item which could be yours with each qualifying £45 spend. I used the Owl builder punch for his eyes. The “river and sky” were in Soft Sky card stock measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″. This was partially embossed with the Scallops TIEF and I used the debossed side as it resembled waves.
I cut a strip of Wild Wasabi 4″ x 1-1/2″ and used the fringe scissors to cut the “grass” and adhered it to the bottom of the card leaving an equal border all round. Next I adhered the Soft Sky layer also leaving an equal border on 3 sides and tucked the rest behind the grass.
The sentiment from See ya Later was stamped on Very Vanilla then die cut with the Word Bubble Framelits. Did you know that one of the speech bubbles can be used as a cloud which is exactly what I did, and I ran these pieces through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots TIEF then sponged it in Soft Sky to give it a bit more definition.
