Hi everyone! What a difference a few days of sunshine makes. It certainly feels like spring now doesn’t it?
I also fancied a change from Sale-a-bration stamp sets. Only 2 weeks left to get those freebies for each £45 spend. Have you turned your thoughts to Easter yet? Here’s a card inspired by Dawn Griffiths but I’ve re-jigged the size to suit UK paper.
My card base is in Daffodil Delight cut 5-3/4″ x 4″. The Whisper White was cut 5-1/2″ x width of our A4 size, then scored with long side on top at 3-3/4″ and 6-1/4″. I folded the Whisper White layer in a ” Z ” fold and punched a semi-circle with the 2-1/2″ circle punch, then embossed the front with the Decorative Dots TIEF (free with SAB),
The stamp sets I used are both from the Spring/Summer catalogue Blessed Easter (wood mount), and Eggstra Spectacular (wood mount). The images were stamped in Black Stazon as the ink will not run. I used an aqua painterto colour in the tulips and the basket of easter eggs and the fringing scissors to make the decorative edges. After the initial cut with the fringe scissors, I cut a second time in between the first cuts to make a finer fringe. I used the Ovals Framelits Collectionto cut my ovals and used the same fringe treatment.
To finish the card, I punched three itty bitty flowers and put faux pearls for the flower centres.
