Thank you card with Floral Fringed element

I hope you like the Thank you card with a Floral Fringed element I made for today’s project. Adding the floral fringing element increased the size of the flower so it became the main focal point and needed very little else by way of decoration.

Thank you card with fringed floral elements

Bermuda Bay is such a rich, vibrant colour – I love it!  Having used pastel In Colors of late, it’s refreshing to make something out of the Brights Collection!

I cut strips of Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo cardstock and broke up the fibres with a bone folder before attacking it with the fringing scissors, leaving approximately 3/8″ uncut band at the base.   I then ran a piece of sticky strip along the uncut band, removed the sticky strip and used a non-stick pair of scissors to cut in between the fringe at 1/4″ intervals (this makes it easier to manipulate the strip into a circle shape).   I punched out a 1-3/8″ circle to use as a base and adhered fringed cardstock using the circle as a guide and repeated with the Melon Mambo middle layer, followed by another Bermuda Bay layer.

For the flower centre I used the pansy flower punch, petite petal and itty bitty punches.  The tags were cut from the Banners Framelits dies.  I used Happy Watercolor stamp set for my label and kept it clean and simple. Hope you like it.
