Cheep….Cheep says the easter chicks!

This card design originated from my lovely upline, Amanda, at one of our Team meetings and I in turn, passed it on to my team –   but of course as with most CASE-ing (copy and share everything) I’ve put my own stamp on it.

easter card with bird punch

I’ve been putting my fringing scissors to good use lately.  Blades of grass are never even or equal in width, so to make it more authentic, I used my paper snips to randomly cut into it at different angles and scrunched them up.

The chicks were created by using the bird builder punch.  There was an additional step I made on the chick’s wings, it was fed into the scallop oval punch and I also used the embossing stylus to create raised grooves on the wings at each scallop indentation then sponged with Crushed Curry to accentuate it. For the chicks’ eyes and the butterfly body, I coloured some pearls with a sharpie pens.

The Crushed Curry card front was embossed with the Decorative Dots TIEF from Sale-abration and the “grass” are actually the stem images from “Too Kind“.  Other stamp sets used are Papillon Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Sentiments.   All the highlighted texts of the products I used are direct links of the said products to my online store.  Incidentally the stamp sets linked are all wood mount ones.

The punches used are Scallop OvalBird Builder, Bitty Butterfly and Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.

We’ve had smashing weather all week at the time of writing, I hope it spills over to the weekend.  This post has been scheduled, so I hope the sun is still with us.  Enjoy your weekend!
