My youngest grandson turns 4 today, and like his Dad and big brother, he loves cars or anything with wheels. I’ve been itching to use this stamp set – would you believe I first acquired it last July and it hasn’t seen any ink till now!
The box base is in Baked Brown Sugar, and the DSP are from the In-Color 2013-2015 stack. I combined it with Calypso Coral card stock, the motorbikes and car were stamped twice – once in Black Stazon and a second time in Calypso Coral. They were all fussy cut, and the Calypso Coral parts had Crystal Effects applied to make them pop.
For the badge on the front, the wreath encircling the no. 4 is from Postage Collection, a Hostess set in the current annual catalogue. The Number 4 is from Memorable Moments.
For the candles, I cut long 1/4″ strips of DSP, folded it in half and punched a leaf from the bird builder punch in Daffodil Delight to sandwich between the two layers and glued them together. The plaque at the back is secured with linen thread and a candy dot.
Here’s the detail on the back with space for writing a message. I cut his initials with sizzlets alphabet set from my personal stash.
I had to custom make envelop for this but forgot to take a pic! It was a bit of a mad dash to get to the post office on time!
Happy Sunday, thanks for visiting!
