It”s been a long old week for me, especially when you’re performing under par nursing a horrid cold. Happily, I think I’ve turned a corner and back to full strength next week! Best crack on with today’s offering!
You Brighten My Day is one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets and the house image actually co-ordinates with the What’s Up punch in the 2014-15 annual catalogue.
Good news! If you bought the Holiday Home stamp set from the 2014 Autumn/Winter catalogue, you can still use it all through the year. Unfortunately, if you didn’t, it is no longer available as a stamp set, but you can still purchase it in MDS format. I’ve dug this retired stamp set out to use “happy new home” for this card. To create the 3D effect, I used a mask (stamped on a post-it note and cut out then lay it on the first image and stamp again). In order to create a border, I used the trimmer to cut a 1/2″ border on 3 sides, stopping short at the houses, then hand cut the rest. Finally I adhered some Best Year Ever DSP behind the aperture with dimensionals and attached the whole piece to the card base with Tombow.
