Today is a special day for a long standing friend of mine who I first met at a Boarding school which we both attended in Perth, Australia many moons ago. We also discovered that both our families were domiciled in Hong Kong for many years and where our paths crossed once again after we left school. Long story short, she retired to Italy to her family home where she now currently resides and has at last been able to pursue her lifelong dream to become an author. Today Siobhan Bland Daiko is holding an online launch party for her latest publication titled “The Orchid Tree” set against the backdrop of Hong Kong where she spent a considerable part of her life. I can’t wait to read it! I was honoured to be commissioned to make her a box of cards as one of her prizes, so here it is in all its glory. The flower on the front of the card is a photo of the blossom from the Bauhinia tree (also known as the Orchid Tree). There are six cards in the boxed set. The cover of Siobhan’s book is in the front insert of the DVD case which contains two each of three designs with matching envelopes.
Good luck Siobhan Bland Daiko with The Orchid Tree book launch. I can’t wait to devour your written words within.
