A Fun Fold Card

Did you leave a comment to enter my 100th video celebration prize draw?  You can find the posthere  with all the details of how to enter.

In the meantime, here’s a technique I taught at this month’s card club.  For want of a better word I called it the White Craft Ink water-colour Technique. You stamp an outline image in versamark on Crumb Cake card stock then emboss it with white embossing powder.  Use an aqua-painter to wet the cardstock and dip its tip in Whisper White craft ink (drop a couple of drops of  Whisper White craft ink refill on your Whisper White Craft ink lid)  and colour wash your image.

Take a marker of your choice to co-ordinate with your card base and draw a line where you think the shadows should appear, then use aqua painter to blend to create this effect.  You can go back and add more colour with the marker pen, repeating process until you get the desired intensity of colour.

We also used the diagonal plate of the scoring tool to create this fun fold and added a label raised on dimensionals  so that the top could be tucked into it as a closure.

I used the Curly Label Punch which is on this year’s retired list and it has now sold out so I couldn’t include it in the table below. Multiple images indicates that stamp set is available in wood, clearmount, photopolymer.  Hover over the bottom right of each image for more details or click to take you directly to the item in my online store.

Happy stampin’ love
