Private Class in July

This is the Blooms & Wishes private class I ran in July.  We made four cards, using different techniques and some fun folds which included an easel card, a centre step card and a spinner card. It’s a long post and picture heavy – so grab a cuppa and read on!

The ladies had their own Blooms & Wishes stamp sets in photopolymer, all the card stock and pieces were pre-cut and I made a template for each attendee to take home so that they could carry on making more at home.  To embellish the card, they punched 3 butterflies, attached the rhinesone before colouring it with the Wink of Stella clear pen.  The inks I used for this was Rich Razzleberry and Island Indigo and taught them the stamping off technique to get 3 shades of the same colour.

This centre step card was larger than the normal card, so they also used the Envelop Punch Board to make their own envelops – they LOVED this!

We made a spinner card too using the Sliding Star Framelit dies – which incorporated the use of the Big Shot Die Cutting machine.  The flower centre was stamped then punched out with a 1-1/4″ circle punch.   This was attached to a  pansy flower punched out of Blushing Bride Glimmer paper using the pansy punch and was the “spinning” element in the card.

This card had a Dapper Denim card base and incorporated the Blooms & Bliss DSP  and the new pattern doilies.  The DSP was adhered to the card base first, then we stamped “for you” in Dapper Denim on the doily and adhered it to the bottom right corner.  Next we tore the Whisper White layer, as shown above, taking care that it still covered the DSP layer and was sufficiently long enough to also cover the lace doily.  All the edges were then sponged and stamped.  The inks used were Dapper Denim, Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron.

For the easel card, I  punched out a 2″ circle out of scrap Whisper White and used the negative as a template for tracing a circle on the Whisper White front layer of the card.  More simple stamping using the leaves images in the set, and some fussy cutting of the small floral image.

Here’s what I used for all the cards!
