These “sprout” pencils popped up in my Inbox and sounded so intriguing, I got some as a novelty to see if they’d work. The pencils have a black tip on one end which houses the seeds of various herbs or type of flower which has been engraved on the pencil. Each pencil only holds one species. Once your pencil gets too short, you can pop the black tip into the soil and grow the seeds from that end. I haven’t tested them personally, but they made an ideal “thank you” gift. You can get them from Amazon – it’s my place to go for all my kindle books and novelty gifts.
I’ve customised an integral box holding 2 pencils, as well as a side pocket that holds a bookmark. I typed out the instructions on how to grow them from the original packaging it came in and printed it out in Whisper White card stock and I also stamped on it so that it would coordinate with my colour scheme.
Remember Floral Boutique – the big hit in 2016-17? Those papers in Night of Navy were stunning and it’s been so popular, Stampin’ Up! have chosen a couple of their favourite designs and will be supplying it in the new In Colour paper stacks for 2017-19!!! This is the one of the new In Colours for 2017-19 called Lemon Lime Twist. When paired with Tranquil Tide (also new) I think it looks stunning. I used the Floral Phrases stamp set so created my own two-toned designer paper. What do you think? Did you see the ribbon? Top marks for coordination – the ribbons are the same shade!!
Happy Sunday everyone!
