Good Day everyone! Last Sunday I shared the adorable pink elephant, and this week it’s the sweet little honey bear’s turn. Before you ask, yes, it’s from the same “A Little Wild” stamp set!
I stamped the bear on shimmery white card stock so that I could use my aqua painters on it without fear of the card stock pilling or warping. Shimmery white, as the name suggests, is shimmery all over the whole surface of both sides (front and back) of the card stock and has a pearlescent lustre. It is heavier in weight and more forgiving for water colouring with.
The bear, hive, bees and flowers can be die cut as separate entities. I doubled up die cutting them so that I could glue them back to back so that it would look the same from behind where possible through the circular window.
This card was made for the proud grandparents – and it was a great opportunity to use the Beehive Dynamic TIEF to enhance the front of the card.
I’m so glad we get to use the Banners for You photo-polymer stamp set for another year. These stamps are so useful and suits so many occasions. That goes for the Bunch of Banners Framelits too.
As the back of the banner showed through the circular aperture, I stamped “welcome” in order to integrate it with the rest of the design. The grass was hand drawn and coloured with Wild Wasabi marker.
Hopefully, the grand-parents loved this as much as I did making it.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for popping by today. xxx
