Hiya! Happy Sunday – doing anything special this weekend? If your way to relax is to dig out your craft supplies. Here’s something new! I designed this card to incorporate using the new embossing mats for my class this month. There are 3 mats in the set, with a White Impressions pad, a thin blue silicone mat, and a slightly thicker grey rubber mat. For a relatively modest investment, it allows you to get more mileage out of your dies and you can use your dies for embossing on card stock instead of cutting out shapes.
It’s a bit difficult to see in the photo below. I’ve photoshopped the photo so you can just about see the embossing on the Blueberry Bushel card stock.
The stained glass piece is actually cut from pre-printed stained glass patterns on vellum paper called “Graceful Glass Designer Vellum” in 6″x 6″ sheets. I simply used some Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to colour on the back, put a piece of Whisper White card stock on the back to make it “pop” and adhered it to the Blueberry Bushel panel.
I’ve included the supply list below in case you’re interested and if you click on the pictures, it will take you to my online store should you wish to make a purchase.
There will be a video tutorial coming very soon demonstrating this technique.
