Yikes! Where has the year gone? Today is the start of my 12 week countdown to Christmas, 12 episodes of Christmas projects every Friday finishing on 7th December to leave you time for other things.
Welcome to Episode #1, week #1 – Dashing Deer which was the natural choice to go with the Dashing Along DSP in September’s Host Promotion which has another week to run. I designed this to be used in conjunction with the Stamparatus – it makes clear embossing images such a doddle. This deer has the disINKtive qualities some of the “disINKtive” stamp range Stampin’ Up! is manufacturing.
The old way was to ink the stamp up first with Versamark, then the coloured ink of your choice before stamping and then sprinkling with clear embossing powder. With the Stamparatus, you ink and stamp the image first, clean the stamp and ink up with Versamark in the exact same position as before. This way you get a much cleaner crisp embossed effect. What’s more, you can die cut multiples, pop it back into the template and stamp to your heart’s content without fear of the image being off centre or mis-die cut. When you’re making lots of Christmas cards, this method is a NO brainer!
