Week 2 of my 12 week Countdown to Christmas series is another flat card in landscape, keeping it as a single layer for easy postage.
I keep saying this, so that if you’re visiting for the first time, it is good to know that the Stamparatus, Stampin’ Up!’s stamp positioning tool, is fabulous if you’re making lots and lots of the same card. However, there are some tasks like stamping the ground or the pine needles for the inside of the card in this instance, that traditional stamping is required.
Very often, I do a mixture of both (to keep my hand and eye in, as it were), because you could become too dependent on the tool to do everything and lose your confidence in taking stamp to paper the old fashioned way.
As an optional extra you could add some sequins in the blank space, but I preferred making the glimmer tree the focal point so left mine without.
This is the inside of the card but it could so easily be the front as it is so pretty. I did second and third generation stamping with the pine needle stamp (that means stamping for the second and third time without re-inking the stamp).
