Stampin’ Up! catalogues are a wonderful source of inspiration and I don’t use them often enough. You can always put your own interpretation of the same card by substituting it with different elements of embellishments or a different complimentary stamp set to go with the “main” event one.
As I’ve said in a previous post, I’m a sucker for “faux stitching” and it always elevates a card from being ordinary to being extraordinary.
Often times when a new catalogue is launched, we forget that there are also fabulous products in the Annual Catalogue too. Take the “Make a Difference” stamp set – I searched high and low to see where the sentiment appeared and for the life of me, couldn’t find that “greeting” anywhere, until I eventually realised it was made up with the “Make a Difference” alphabet stamp set!
Initially, I spelt out my sentiment on a long block, but found that even with the letters all butted up tight together, when it came to stamping it, the letters were too far apart. I then had to stamp them individually and was pleased with the result even though it took a little longer doing it this way.
Here’s a close up of that faux stitching. Which colour do you prefer, Petal Pink or the Mint Macaron?
