Yesterday was Stampin’ Up!’s Onstage Local one day event where hundreds of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators meet up to experience first hand up and coming products soon to be launched in the new year!
At time of composing and scheduling this post, I would be en route to Birmingham’s Vox Centre.
The day is jam packed with business tips, demonstrations of new products, meet and greet with other demos and “swapping”. These are usually card fronts using current products in any of the current catalogues and the whole idea of swapping is that for every card front you give away, you will get a different one back. At the end of the day, you’ll have loads of ideas to choose from when you’re planning for your future events.
This year I did things a little differently and made fewer swaps, but made them as fully finished cards. I made enough for my team with a few spare for swapping.
These are my swaps – I used Smoky Slate and Merry Merlot, and the Angel on Earth Stamp set and the tin tile dynamic embossing folder for a “grungy” look.
I like to spoil my team at these events. There was a personalised notebook (you can get the name printed on the front), some lip balm, hand cream and nail file set, and of course a water bottle. This is no ordinary bottle – the lid has a clever mechanism which “clocks” how much water you drink during the day! If you look closely, I personalised it with my downline’s initial. Of course since it’s made out of paper, you’d have to remove the band first before filling the bottle!
Here’s a closer look at the tag I created to match the notebook!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! I may still be on the road coming home!
Thank you so much for my lovely presents and your gorgeous swap. Px
You're very welcome! Thank you for mine!
