Sadly Sale-a-bration is drawing to a close. Tomorrow is the last day of Sale-a-bration! It ends at 23:50 (CET)/10:50 p.m. (GMT).
I considered doing a round up of all the Sale-a-bration projects I’d made, but it would’ve made this post too long!
Instead I thought I would show you another way to use that corner stamp from the 2nd Release Sale-a-bration “All Adorned” stamp set. I had already set up the corner image stamp to use on the four outer corners of a 4″ x 4″ piece of card stock on my Stamparatus. I didn’t want to alter the position of the stamp as I wanted to make more square cards.
Consequently, I made a template and cut a 4″x 4″ (10.2 x 10.2 cm) aperture which enabled me to position the card stock so that I could get an inverted image of the corner stamp without moving the stamp and simply rotated my paper to create this pattern. The stamped inverted corners reminded me of butterflies, so I pulled out my Butterfly Gala Bundle to stamp and punch these butterflies to embellish my card with.
I stamped “miss you” in versamark on Merry Merlot card stock and white embossed it then cut it using one of the dies from the Stitched Labels Framelits set. The Whisper White piece I stamped on measures 4″ x 4″ (10.2 x 10.2 cm), and to create the square Merry Merlot Frame, I cut it the same size and used my trimmer to create a 1/4″ frame.
You can’t see it in the photo, but I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to emboss the sides on the frame to give it a faux stitched look.
To bridge the “join”, I attached the braided linen thread, adhered the Needlepoint Nook Mini Buttons on the left hand side and frayed the linen thread.
The butterflies were stamped and punched and I used the Wink of Stella to add extra sparkle and finished it with a Rhinestone as shown.
Here’s the inside of the card.
You can see how the stamps in this set can be used as backgrounds which will complement any of the stamps you already own. I’m really pleased I got to play with it a little before it disappears from the scene. I won’t be able to share any more projects using this set because it will no longer be available, but there’s no reason why you can’t if you’re not a Demonstrator, if you get my drift.
