I don’t often make square cards, but fancied a little change from the norm. We all need cards for different occasions and I thought the 4″x 4″ cards in a bespoke box would make a nice little gift for a busy person.
Am a bit late to the party, but have only just discovered how gorgeous the Needlepoint Nook DSP is! They were too precious to make the base as well as the lid, so I used Very Vanilla thick card stock cut 8-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ (21 cm x 21 cm) for the box base and cut a sheet of 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) down to 8-5/16″ x 8-5/16″ (21.2 cm x 21.2 cm) for the lid. As you know, DSP is much lighter in weight, so I lined the box lid with a coordinating colour on the inside for added strength.
I’ve also included some tips on making your own envelops and how to max out an A4 sheet of card stock for the 4″x 4″ square cards. This video is a little longer than usual for me, as there was a lot to cover!
The supplies listed below are for making the box only, but if you want to duplicate my cards, you will need additional ink pads and/or embellishments and card stock.
