Hi there – happy Sunday!
Me bad – at time of writing this, my beloved had just put up some DVD storage units at the end of my Kallax units. Best Mother’s Day gift, ever – and it was to house the overflow of my stamps and to make room for “Storage by Stampin’ Up” for my ink pads and colouring paraphernalia! A couple of weeks prior to that, I had done a massive clear out and had taken a whole truck load of stuff to the charity shop! Now as Stampin’ Up!’s Annual catalogue draws to a close at the end of May, beginning of June, I find to my horror that I have stamp sets that was in my pre-order way back in November 2018 which has yet to see ink!
So today’s cards addresses this lapse. Had it not been for the new storage units, they would have probably still sat in the box woefully neglected and me blissfully unaware!
If you’re a doggy lover and you own a bulldog, this set is tailor made for you! There is a park bench in the coordinating die set, but there isn’t a stamp in the Sitting Pretty photopolymer stamp set. I stamped some trees from the Rooted in Nature stamp set and did a bit of sponging for the grassy areas. You’ll notice that I’ve stamped the sentiment in a line rather than as it appears on the stamp because I wanted a longish tag at the top and it was stamped on DSP.
The park bench was also die cut from the Wood Textures 6 x 6 DSP stack.
Here’s the list of supplies used for this card:
In the second card – I chose Powder Pink for the card base, Berry Burst for the mat layer and Whisper White which I embossed with the Big Shot Embossing Plates and the blue shim. The Pretty Park Framelits has an embossing die – you can see it highlighted by sponging the embossed area. The pretty filigree wrought iron bench looked a little lonely on its own, so I paired it with Colourful Seasons.
I die cut a separate heart and used a stylus to pop up the heart and adhered it with a dimensional.
The supply list for this card is as follows –
My apologies for not being able to amalgamate the list. In any case, listing them separately for the respective cards makes it easier to reference.
