Happy Sunday! This is one of the cards I made as a Display Stamper at our Team Meeting in June.
I stamped the large magnolia flower first and stamped another on a scrap piece of paper and fussy cut that out just inside the lines to create a mask which I laid on top of the stamped magnolia on the card front. Then I sponged the background in Pool Party and sponged the leaves with Old Olive.
To create the larger magnolia flowers, I punched 5 “petals” with the Hot Air Balloon punch for the outer petals and for the smaller petals I die cut 2 of the largest petal, 1 medium and 1 small petal from the Magnolia Memory Dies as well as the flower centers – 1 in Daffodil Delight and the other in Early Espresso.
Next I sponged Daffodil Delight working from the centre and flicking outwards for just a hint of colour on all the petals and assembled it by curling and manipulating the petals to make it look more natural.
To add a bit of interest, I used the Detailed Trio punch to round of the corners at opposite ends before adhering it to the card base.
Here are the list of supplies I used. You will notice that I also provide separate links for the stamp set and dies as well as the bundle link.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
