The gift cards from retail outlets are usually credit card size, so it won’t surprise you to know that you can easily make a gift card envelop out of a 6″ x 6″ (15.2 cm x 15.2 cm) piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP for short).
I took my inspiration for the envelop from the Autumn/Winter catalogue and built a gift card around it and it’s funny how one thing can lead to another, and hence this little gift card holder was “born” which would fit inside the bespoke envelop! The Whisper White insert has a section which has been punched out with the classic label punch so that you can insert a gift card inside. Imperial measurements: From one of the 6″ edges, score 1-1/2″, 4-1/4″ then rotate 90 degrees and on the adjacent side score 1/2″, 5″. Metric measurments: From one of the 15.2 cm edges, score 3.8 cm, 10.8 cm then rotate 90 degrees and on the adjacent side score 1.3 cm, 12.7 cm.
