What? Sunday again? Where oh where does the time go?
This whispy “New Wonders” stamp set is a host set which cannot be purchased but can be earned through hosting a workshop.
If truth be known, every year I get stumped trying to think of something for twins on their birthdays. I’m not sure if they read my blog, but one loves unicorns and the other loves flamingos! I was so sad to see the pretty unicorn set retire, and Stampin’ Up! haven’t produced any more pretty flamingo stamp sets which seemed to be the rage a few years ago.
So this year, I ignored both and went for this little fairy. I used shimmery white card stock and colour washed a background, allowed it to dry before stamping the fairy in Tuxedo Black memento ink and then coloured the image with a variety of stampin blends. For added texture, I punched out a blank story label punch in shimmery white and colour washed that too and for a finishing touch, I added some sequins.
For the inside of Twin 1’s card, I used the Itty Bitty Birthdays set and stamped and coloured another fairy image.
Are you up for more? Here’s Twin 2’s card.
I partially cut a stitched shape circle, cut some leaves from the Frosted Frames dies in Whisper White and adhered it to the circle then cut a mat layer in Pool Party to make it “pop”. I love how this turned out and I hope she did too!
For the inside of the card I used the page turning image and the sentiment was stamped in Pool Party. Both “Happy Birthday” on the front of the card and for the inside of the card is from the Special Celebrations cling set.
Here are the supplies I used on both cards
